Addendum to Fake Celebrity Parties and "Special Invited Guests"

Just got off the phone with Hollywood Chuck....
From consulting with people in the streets and speaking with Hollywood Chuck on the phone over the past two days, I have to admit that this is something I should have done prior to posting the "Fake Celebrity Party" article. Reactions from this article had many folks associating Hollywood Chuck's entire track record as an "unscrupulous promoter". Although this wasn't my intention, I can see how the connection could be made. So in all fairness to Chuck as well as you, the reader, I present his account of the event and his overall track record. Chuck stated he has exceucted a number of celebrity guest appearances at his events over the ten plus years he's been in the promoting game. Although Kobe Bryant and Lamar Odom did not appear on the night in question, he assures it was a legitimate booking as a result of a personal relationship he has with Lamar Odom (Odom is a NYC native). Chuck continued to explain that the two Lakers failed to appear as a result of a delayed flight which did not allot the players enough time to go to the party. (After viewing the LA Lakers game schedule, they played at the Toronto Raptors on Feb. 27, the day of the party, and another against the Knicks in NYC the following evening.) Lastly, I would like to commend both Hollywood Chuck and the promoter who emailed me yesterday for handling and talking about the situation like gentlemen. I'm sure I'm going to write some things that some folks may not like hearing, I just hope others will be as gracious in speaking with me as these two have. As always, reactions, thoughts, comments, hate mail, etc. can be sent to fcgnews@gmail.com.
