With All-Star Weekend 2006 in Houston fast approaching us, I’ve been getting quite a few requests to find out what parties are going on out there. During this weekend, there are 1,001 parties going on starting Wednesday and running through Sunday. For those whom this will be their first All-Star Weekend will soon find out that rational thinking goes out the window this weekend. You’ll see what I’m referring to when you show up at a party without an advance ticket and learn the door charge for some of the better parties will be $200 and up. A word to the wise for you partygoers, buy advance tickets and arrive early. I’m talkin’ like 9PM. For some parties you will not be able to roll up at 1AM talking about 'I have a ticket'. Some of these spots will be at or near capacity and the police will deny you entrance much less the event producers. I know for some of you it’s hard to make a commitment to purchase a ticket before you actually get there because, who knows what can happen once you get there? You can be at the hotel and hear about a slew of other events that can be better than the event you bought advance tickets for. You will be beat in the head with party flyers as soon as you step off the plane…’This ballers gonna here, This rapper’s gonna there, This video hoe’s gonna be naked yonder….It goes on and on. But let’s be real, all of these parties can’t be poppin’. So I decided to help you fish through all the clutter and give you a list of events I think will be worth while and some advance ticket info.
